[exp] [/exp]From January 26-February 25, 2018, Big Apple Circus will be at the Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre at Encore Park.
Per the summary: “Big Apple Circus is world renowned for its one-ring, intimate and artistic style, where no seat is more than 50 feet from the performers. The 40th anniversary season program features a legendary lineup of global artists and acts including daring trapeze acts by The Flying Tunizianis, world record-holding high wire artist Nik Wallenda, award-winning contortionist Elayne Kramer, fan-favorite Grandma the Clown, and more! No exotic or wild animals are involved in the circus–only beloved, rescued dogs and 16 horses and ponies, all cared for by circus trainer and presenter Jenny Vidbel.”
Want to see it on the cheap? You can save:
- While they last, you can save up to 52% on tickets to most performances of the Big Apple Circus, thanks to a deal on Groupon. The deal is available for select performances from January 27-February 11, 2018.
- No luck tracking down an extra discount yet, but I’ll update this post with a coupon code for Big Apple Circus when I come across one. That said, if you head out on opening night, all proceeds benefit the Children’s Hospital of Atlanta.
FYI–Children under age two are admitted free if they sit on the lap of a paid adult; limit one child per lap.
Bonus: From 1:00 p.m.-4:00 p.m. on January 21, 2018, you can head to Avalon in Alpharetta for a free Meet & Greet with the cast of the Big Apple Circus, including Dandino and Luciana (daredevil roller skating duo) & Jenny Vidbel (certified animal trainer), to name a few. Plus you can put your skills to the test at the juggling clinic, catch some of the amazing acts in-person, treat the kids to a face paint, & pose with one of Jenny’s beloved rescue ponies at the photo station, & more.
The Big Top and parking will be in Parking Lot A of Encore Park, located at 1775 Founders Parkway, Alpharetta.
