This sounds like fun: The Red Bull Soapbox Race will be in Atlanta on Saturday, August 29. Soapbox racers will compete down 10th Street near Piedmont park. Pits open at 11:00 a.m., the opening ceremony starts at 12:45 p.m., and the first race gets underway at 1:00 p.m. There’ll be 50 teams competing on the “dragstrip,” so head out & cheer on your favorites.
