From 11:00 a.m.-2:30 p.m., the free Rabbit Tales World Premiere will take place at Wren’s Nest House Museum. From 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m., there’ll be storytelling, museum tours, crafts, and facepainting. At 1:00 p.m., audiences will be treated to a free performance of Rabbit Tales, a children’s opera based on the Brer Rabbit stories. Rabbit Tales is the Atlanta Opera’s first opera commission.
Rabbit Tales will be performed on an outdoor stage in a natural grass amphitheater, so dress appropriately for the weather & bring a low-rise lawn chair or blanket. Picnics are welcome.
