Atlanta Ballet’s Don Quixote will be at the Cobb Energy Centre from February 2-10, 2018.
Per the summary: “Filled with swashbuckling adventure, fancy footwork, laugh-out-loud comedy and authentic Spanish dancing, the landmark ballet Don Quixote comes to Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre in Atlanta. Based on Miguel de Cervantes’ classic novel, choreographer Yuri Possokhov’s Don Quixote is “an altogether enchanting piece of dance theater” (Chicago Sun-Times). The story follows a dotty middle-aged man obsessed with tales of chivalry. Joined by his trusty servant Sancho Panza, he sets out on a journey across the Spanish countryside to defend virtue and punish those who violate the code of honor. The two battle imaginary dragons, save damsels in distress and encounter a colorful crew of characters along the way.”
