Let’s go fly a kite this weekend! The Dekalb County Department of Recreation will host its first annual kite festival, called Kites Over Dekalb, on Sunday, April 14th. The event starts at noon and goes on till 4 p.m. at Wade-Walker Park, near Stone Mountain. It is FREE and open to everyone.
In addition to kite-flying and kite-making activities, you’ll find food trucks, inflatable bounce houses for the kids, and a live DJ.
If you don’t have a kite to bring along, get there early and make one at the FREE kite-making station, while supplies last.
While the event is free, the organizers ask that you register through Eventbrite if you plan to attend.
