It’s time for the 32nd annual Atlanta Purim Parade & Festival!
The date is set for Sunday, March 17, 2024.
The parade is at noon.
The festival takes place from 12:30 to 3 p.m.
Admission to both is FREE.
You’ll find dozens of parade floats, and a full carnival with all kinds of rides and activities.
The parade typically takes place along LaVista Rd, which is closed to traffic that day — but we don’t have a confirmed route for 2023 yet. In past years, the parade traveled down LaVista Rd from the Beth Jacob Synagogue to Houston Mill Rd.
Festival food items for sale include hamburgers, hot dogs, veggie burgers, vegetarian chili, chicken wings and nuggets, snack items, and sweets — as well as traditional fare like knishes and hamantashen.
Activities include rides, face painting, sand art, games, bounce house, giant slide, photo booth with costumes, and more.
While festival admission is FREE, you’ll need to buy tickets to use as currency for food, games, rides, etc. Each item or activity has a “price” set as a certain number of tickets.
Tickets are 50 cents each — but you can buy in bulk packages for convenience.
