Andrea Bocelli will perform in an empty Duomo Cathedral in Milan, Italy, on Easter, April 12th, 2020.
The concert, called Bocelli: Music for Hope, will be streamed for free on his YouTube channel.
On the East Coast, it will be at 1 p.m.
He will be accompanied only by cathedral organist Emanuelle Vianelli.
With live church services being canceled, Bocelli’s performance will be watched all over the world. Among the pieces in his set, you can expect sacred and inspirational pieces, including “Ave Maria,” Mascagni’s “Sancta Maria,” and an arrangement of “Amazing Grace.”
The music has been selected to communicate a message of love, healing and hope to Italy and the world.
