Come to Colony Square during the 2023 holiday season for a festive experience. The Square is hosting events that include a one day winter festival, tree lighting, an nightly light show, and holiday pop-up bar.
Note: It looks like there will NOT be a skating rink at Colony Square in 2023.
The holiday event line-up is detailed below.
All events listed here are FREE to attend.
Colony Square is a mixed-use development in midtown Atlanta, located on Peachtree St. between 14th Street and 15th Street.

Tree lighting ceremony & 2-day winter festival
The Lighting at Colony Square takes place Thursday, November 30, 2023. This is a primarily a standing event.
Event Schedule
5-7pm: Experience a holiday spectacular celebration featuring live music from A-Town A-List, festive drinks, photo opportunities, jolly entertainment, and more.
6:45pm: Gather around The Plaza stage to kick off the official ceremony with host Kelly Crull with Bally Sports. Countdown to the lighting of themagnificent tree with Santa Claus.
Nightly tree lighting shows
December 2nd to 25th, 2023
At the top of each hour from 5 to 8 p.m., you can watch midtown’s tree come alive with lights and holiday music.

December 14th from 6-7pm
December 21st from 6-7pm
December 28th from 6-7pm
Winter Squares
From December through February, The Plaza at Colony Square will feature 12 Winter Squares that you can use for FREE. They are first-come, first-served, and there are blackout dates when the Squares are not available during scheduled events.
Each Winter Square includes a cozy fire pit and comfortable seating.
No outside food or beverage is allowed, but you’re encouraged to bring take-out from one of the onsite restaurants.

The fire pits can only be turned on while the Concierge is on duty.
Visit the concierge desk at the base of Building 300 for assistance.
In general, the operating hours will be:
* Mon-Fri 8:30 a.m. to 9 p.m.
* Saturday 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.
* Sunday 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
The Winter Squares are NOT available to the public during select hours on Dec. 7th, 12th, 14th, 21st, and 28th.
