Cobb County Public Library is hosting a children’s book swap at two branches, in honor of International Book Giving Day.
It’s the perfect way for parents to save a few bucks, by exchanging books your children have outgrown for new-to-you books at their current reading level.
Here’s how it works:
• Bring up to ten (10) children’s books (in good condition, please!) to either the North Cobb branch or the Powder Springs branch between Tuesday, January 21 and Saturday, February 8, 2025.
• You’ll receive a swap ticket for each book you donate. Hang on to these!
• Starting Monday, February 10, 2025, you can browse the donated books at the North Cobb and Powder Springs branches and redeem your tickets for up to 10 new-to-you books.
• According to the website, you can redeem your tickets through February 15th at Powder Springs and February 28th at North Cobb. For the best selection, plan to go as soon as you can.
Books will be sorted into these categories:
- Infants (birth to 18 months)
- Toddlers (18 to 36 months)
- Preschoolers (ages 3 to 5)
- Elementary schoolers (ages 5 to 9)
- Tweens (ages 9 to 12)
Library hours:
- Monday–Wednesday, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
- Thursday–Friday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
