I’ll be heading out to one of these hot-glass events this week:
From Wednesday, September 12, through Sunday, September 16, 2012, the Hot Glass Roadshow will take place on Sifly Piazza at the High Museum of Art. The schedule varies daily, but it features “You Design It, We Make It” sessions; glass-blowing demonstrations; and guest appearances by artists Richard Jolley, Johanna Grawunder, and Gyun Hur.
Most Hot Glass Roadshow events are free & open to the public, though two glass-blowing demonstrations are for members of the High only (10:30 a.m. on Saturday & 12:30 p.m. on Sunday).
You can submit drawings for “You Design It; We Make It!” between 10:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. on Saturday and 12:30 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. on Sunday. But FYI–The glass pieces made in the Hot Glass Roadshow will not be given away, and they are not for sale.
Sifly Piazza at the High Museum of Art is located at 1280 Peachtree St. NE, Atlanta.
