In remembrance of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., the APEX Museum will admit visitors free of charge on Monday, January 19, from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The APEX Museum, which stands for The African American Panoramic Experience, chronicles the rich and complex history of African Americans, from their African roots to the community they built on Auburn Avenue.
The APEX Museum is located at 135 Auburn Avenue, Atlanta. It’s just down the street from Ebenezer Baptist Church, located at 407 Auburn Avenue, which will host its free annual commemorative service for Dr. King at 10:00 a.m. on January 19 in the Horizon Sanctuary. Take time to remember why you have the day off & head out for both this MLK Day.
