[exp] [/exp]On July 19 & 20, 2013, gloATL’s Liquid Culture: A Collection of Sensations from an Asphalt Perspective will take place on the campus of the Woodruff Arts Center.
I’m intrigued. Per the summary: “Liquid Culture’s physical installations are unveiled as public utopia stations for arriving, leaving and staying awhile. The term ‘utopia’ has a double-meaning, being both a good place (eutopia) and no place (outopia). Armed with a collection of sensations, glo envisages contemporary dance as an active doorway for letting people into utopia—a subjective everyday experience in the real time of concrete and intentional realities.” This year’s theme is freedom, and I’d like to see how choreographer Lauri Stallings expresses that concept through movement & art.
Liquid Culture begins at 8:30 p.m. each night. The Woodruff Arts Center is located at 1280 Peachtree St. NE, Atlanta.
