This is on my short list of places to be on Sunday:
On August 4, 2013, head to Piedmont Park for Circus Sundays.
According to The Imperial Opa, there needs to be more play in the world. To that end, they’re setting up a portable aerial rig in Piedmont Park (with Piedmont Park’s permission, of course) & inviting local performers and entertainers, tumblers and tossers, dancers and spinners, & more to come out in costume & circus makeup & sign up for eight minutes in the spotlight.
Though I have no circus-worthy skills to add to the spectacle, watching others share their craft sounds like a fun way to spend a Sunday afternoon. Circus Sundays will take place from 3:00 p.m.-6:00 p.m.
Piedmont Park is located at 1320 Monroe Dr. NE, Atlanta.
