[exp] [/exp]The Fabrefaction Theatre’s production of “The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee” just opened, and it looks like a fun night at the theater. Per the release:
“‘The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee’ is the story of a group of awkward, overachieving, pubescent teenagers (played by adults), who are overseen by teachers and parents who have barely escaped their own childhoods. In this musical comedy, six teenagers are pitted against each other in the 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee for the competition of a lifetime. In the end, the teenagers and adults alike learn that winning isn’t everything, and that losing doesn’t always make you a loser. Each performance will be completely unique: four audience volunteers are recruited at each show to be one of the spellers and hilarious antics ensue.”
