I want to check out this exhibition: Designing Playful Cities will be on view through May 13, 2018. Per the description, “Designing Playful Cities takes visitors through interactive installations that present a strong case for designing play into urban environments, encourage visitors of all ages to engage in play in their day-to-day activities, and inspire designers and developers to create playful spaces in our cities, whether by designing proper playgrounds for children or by converting under-utilized spaces into fun and friendly places.”
And mark your calendars to see this upcoming exhibition: Making Change: The Art and Craft of Activism opens on May 27, 2018. Per the description, “Craftivism is a worldwide movement that operates at the intersection of craft and activism. Across the globe, artists and crafters armed with traditional materials like yarn, glue guns, quilt patterns, sewing needles, X-ACTO knives, and other tools are using their hands to protest social and political inequalities and injustices. The time spent on these works shows the dedication to creating pieces that evoke emotion and promote discussion. By sharing ideas expressed through the work of their hands, these artists and crafters aim to make you think, explore and take note.”
