The Atlanta Local Food Initiative (ALFI) is holding its 11th annual fruit tree sale on Saturday, February 15, 2020. There will also be FREE classes on growing fruit in home gardens that day.
If you’d like to pre-order your fruit trees and berry bushes, you can do that online up until 8 p.m. on Friday, February 7th. This is recommended over coming to the sale to see what’s left after the pre-sale.
ALFI is offering over 50 varieties of fruit and nut trees, vines, and berry bushes — all suitable for planting in Georgia gardens and farms.

Free classes at the ALFI fruit tree sale
ALFI will also host three free classes on growing fruit trees, on February 16th. The program is open to all and no advance registration is necessary — just show up at the designated time at the Atlanta Community Food Bank (970 Jefferson St NW, Atlanta, 30318). You may want to come prepared with a pen and pad to take notes.
NOTE that this location is next door to the main ACFB building.
Intro to Tree Care

This class covers the basics, from planting to harvesting. If you bring detailed photos of your yard, you can consult with an expert about which varieties to purchase at the sale and where to place them in your landscape. More details online.
Advanced Tree Care

Learn how to manage fruit trees as they grow to maturity — if you have older fruit trees that need pruning, thinning, or pest control, this is the class for you. Bring photos of any trees you have specific questions about. More details online.
