[exp] [/exp]This looks like an awesome way to spend Saturday:
On August 6, 2016, there’ll be free performances by Atlanta Ballet’s Wabi Sabi on the BeltLine.
If you’re not familiar with what Wabi Sabi is, here’s the quick summary: “Wabi Sabi takes its name from a Japanese worldview that finds beauty in the sincerity, simplicity, and integrity of the natural world. As one of the most exciting dance initiatives in Atlanta, Wabi Sabi combines our city’s own emerging choreographers with beautiful and engaging venues for amazing outdoor performances that bring art to the people.”
Starting at 5:00 p.m., you can imbibe with Wabi Sabi Punch–a Ron Matusalem rum punch made with blackberry syrup, lime, and bubbles–at Ladybird Grove & Mess Hall, then stick around to enjoy free performances along the BeltLine.
Here’s the lineup (program subject to change):
- 5:30 p.m. at Ladybird Grove & Mess Hall: Improv Dance Solo featuring Devon Joslin
- 6:00 p.m. under Freedom Parkway Overpass on the BeltLine: “Allemande” Bach Suite No. 1 in G Major featuring Roee Harron on cello
