Come to Piedmont Park on Saturday, March 22, 2025, for the Exploration Expo!
This is a family event that marks the grand finale of the Atlanta Science Festival, a two-week celebration of science and technology.
The event is FREE and open to the public. It all happens from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., rain or shine.
If you can, please register online in advance to help the organizers plan the event.
The event lets you join other curious kids and adults in witnessing the wonder of science at the Exploration Expo. There will be over 100 interactive science booths and plenty of live science demos.

Interactive exhibits let kids experience the wonders of science.
In past years, the creative, interactive displays let kids touch a human brain, pet a python, squeeze into a mock MRI scanner, play robot soccer, make gummy worms, listen to their joints, look up their own nasal passages, excavate a fossil, spin the Wheel of Bugs, touch a jet engine, make a pollen map of Atlanta, and much more.
An array of live science shows will take place throughout the day, including a favorite event known as the Pink Ping-Pong Big Bang. (At noon, thousands of pink ping-pong balls will launch into the sky, serving as harbingers of the day’s science celebrations.)

Live science shows will captivate the crowd.
You can plan to spend the whole day exploring science at Piedmont Park — because there will be plenty of food and drink vendors onsite. Participating food trucks will be announced in March.
