There are dozens of farmers markets in metro Atlanta. You can find one every day of the week, and nearly every week of the year. Who doesn’t love to browse the stalls while munching on a freshly baked pastry?
Bonus: Some Atlanta-area farmers markets participate in the Georgia Fresh for Less program, which matches SNAP/EBT benefits, dollar for dollar — or, in some cases, doubles the benefit.
This means that when you spend $10 via your SNAP/EBT card, you’ll get another $10 in credit to spend on fresh food. How awesome is that?
To participate in Georgia Fresh For Less:
- Come to the market’s information tent.
- Swipe your EBT card.
- You’ll receive tokens for the amount swiped, and a matching amount of green tokens to be spent on fruits and veggies.
Our list is organized by days of the week.
♦Jump to the Saturday farmers markets♦
- Note that some markets are open on multiple days of the week.
- The list includes markets not just in Atlanta, but throughout the extended metro area.
- If you click through our link to a market’s website, you may find it has an email newsletter you can sign up for.
Before you head out, be sure to click a link and check the status of your market!
Some markets close down during extreme heat waves, others don’t operate on federal holidays, etc.
