The 97th annual Academy Awards ceremony will be televised on the ABC network on Sunday, March 2, 2025. If you’re feeling left out of the Oscar buzz, now’s the time to catch up on the films nominated for awards in major categories — including Best Picture.
This year, three different cinema chains are showcasing the nominated films on the big screen. Some are offering a real deal on tickets. We’re listing the details and prices for each chain.
The metro Atlanta theater chains screening the Best Picture nominees include:

These three film showcases below allow you to see these films in the theater, on the big screen, with surround sound.
♦ AMC Best Picture Showcase
There’s a whole new format for AMC Theatres’ Best Picture Showcase this year.
In 2025, the showcase is spread over two weekends, on Saturday, February 22nd and Saturday, March 1st.
As of now, the AMC showcase includes nine of the 10 Best Picture nominees.
It does NOT include Emilia Perez, probably because of the film’s streaming deal.
Some of the films fall under AMC’s $5 Fan Faves, which means tickets are just $5.

There will be a 10-15 minute break between films.
Day One (Feb. 22)

♦ Regal Cinemas’ Best Picture Film Festival
Regal Cinemas is hosting its 2025 Best Picture Film Festival from February 21st to March 2nd.
Tickets are just $6.
PLUS, if you’re a member of the Regal Crown Club, you can enjoy $5 tickets for each film and a $7 small popcorn & drink combo.
BONUS:
Get a $5 concession voucher for each ticket purchased online via Regal’s site or app with Apple Pay for any film featured in the Best Picture Film Festival. (Crown Club members only.)
All ten of the Best Picture nominated films are available at select Regal theaters.
We have the nationwide schedule for the film festival, but you’ll have to check your local theater for exact show times.
There is not a published schedule of every screening time this year.
Instead, go to the Best Picture Film Festival home page, scroll down to the carousel of Oscar nominees, and click on a film you’re interested in. You’ll then be able to view all the dates and showtime for that film.
Now, this is the bad news — there is only ONE participating theater in metro Atlanta this year — Regal Avalon in Alpharetta.

♦ Marcus Theatres’ Best Picture Showcase
Each Best Picture nominee, along with animated and live action shorts, will play at participating theaters. You can buy tickets to individual movies, or get a Passport for access to every film in the series.
We have three theaters from this chain in metro Atlanta — located in Suwanee, Roswell, and Tucker.
And only Roswell Cinema is participating in the 2025 Best Picture Showcase, which goes from February 19th to March 2nd.
The Best Picture Passport for $70, which lets you see the whole showcase for one price. It also gets you 20% OFF all food and drinks.
There is also a Pick-Four Passport for $28, allowing you to choose any four films in the series for one price.
This showcase includes all ten Best Picture nominees, PLUS the nominees for Best Short Films (Live Action) and Best Short Films (Animation).
