In honor of former First Lady Rosalynn Carter, there will be a FREE children’s book giveaway on Saturday, August 17, 2024 at the Carter Presidential Library and Museum.
There will also be FREE admission to the Carter Center that day — so if you’ve never browsed Jimmy Carter’s presidential museum, now is the time. Museum hours are 9:30 to 4:30.
The event hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Each child can choose a book or two to take home, while supplies last.
Book selections will include all reading levels.
Spanish language books are also available.
There will also be live book readings throughout the day:
10:30 a.m. — Jazz Baby by Gregory Christie
11:25 a.m. — Dragon Racer by Joey Weiser
12:20 p.m. — Bilal Cooks Daal by Aisha Saeed
1:15 p.m. — Holiday! by Natalie Nelson
2:10 p.m. — The Truth About Unicorns by Tracy Walker
3:05 p.m. — Hands-on-Science Geology by Lola Schaefer
