The Callanwolde Concert Band is a community wind-instrument band based in Decatur. It presents several FREE concerts each year in metro Atlanta.
The band is known for its high level of musicianship and audience appeal. There is the grassroots appeal of seeing your neighbors performing in a community band.

World Singing Day Sing-Along Event
This is a collaboration between the Decatur Civic Chorus and a brass ensemble from the Callanwolde Concert Band. The event is FREE and open to the public.
World Singing Day is a global sing-along event, held annually that brings together people in their communities as a simple act of singing together.
The local event takes place on Saturday, October 14th, 2023 from 2 to 3 p.m.
It is located on the front lawn of the First Baptist Church of Decatur, at 308 Clairemont Ave.

FREE Fall Concert on Oct. 22nd
The fall concert happens on Sunday, October 22nd, 2023 from 5 to 6:30 p.m.
It is located at the Avondale Pattillo Band Facility, at 3260 Covington Hwy.
This concert will include several works to be enjoyed by all, including Arabesque – Samuel Hazo; Italian Rhapsody – Julie Giroux; Hellcat Concerto (Trumpet Feature) – Paul Murtha; and Dawn of a New Day – James Swearingen.
The concert is free and open to the public.

FREE Holiday Concert on Dec. 10th
Join the band to ring in the holidays!
The concert takes place on Sunday, December 10th, 2023 from 7 to 8:30 p.m.

POPS Patriotic Concert on July 4th
Get 2023 info on the Decatur 4th of July fireworks and festivities
The Callanwolde Concert Band presents its annual Independence Day Concert.
It takes place on Monday, July 4, 2022 from 7 to 9 p.m.
The location is the bandstand on the Decatur Square.
Bring your folding chair or a blanket, or use the amphitheater seating. Feel free to bring a picnic, snacks, and beverages.
The band will present a light patriotic concert including popular pieces from Broadway and film, marches, and military songs.
The concert will conclude with John Philip Sousa’s “The Stars and Stripes Forever” to the backdrop of Decatur’s fireworks – one of the largest fireworks displays in metro Atlanta.
The Decatur Community Bandstand is located on the Decatur Square, at 509 N McDonough St, Decatur, GA 30030
