On May 18 & 19, 2012, the Cans Film Festival will take place at Historic Old Fourth Ward Park. Set to coincide with the Cannes Film Festival in Cannes, the Cans Film Festival in Old 4th Ward will combine watching movies under the stars with a canned food drive benefiting local food banks.
On Friday, you’ll watch The Trip, and on Saturday, you can head out to see Midnight in Paris. Movies start at 9:00 p.m.
The Cans Film Festival is part festival, too. On Friday night, the festival gets underway at 6:00 p.m., and there’ll be live music before the film. On Saturday, the festivities start at noon and expand to include an Artists’ Market, lawn games, kids’ activities, and more. And there’ll be food trucks & ample Stella Artois on hand both days to satisfy your cravings.
Admission is either three canned goods or a $5 donation.
Pets, blankets, umbrellas, & lawn chairs are welcome, but leave the tents & coolers at home.
Historic Old Fourth Ward Park is located at 700 Ralph McGill Blvd, Atlanta.
