Visit the Center for Puppetry Arts this Halloween! The Headless Horseman of Sleepy Silly Hollow opens on October 22nd and runs through November 3rd.
Schoolteacher Ichabod Crane helps the Headless Horseman find a new head and an even spookier image in this comedic version of the famous Washington Irving short story.
Children under two can attend a performance with you for free.
Your ticket price includes admission to the show, admission to the World of Puppetry Museum, and a Create-A-Puppet Workshop. For this show, the workshop project you’ll create is the Hilarious Horse Rod Puppet.

World of Puppetry Museum
While you’re at the Center for Puppetry Arts, save time to explore the World of Puppetry Museum — entry is included in your show ticket.
The museum features The Global Collection, showcasing puppets from around the world, as well as special exhibitions, like Jim Henson’s The Dark Crystal: World of Myth & Magic.
Not only will you see awesome puppets (they have Fraggle Rock, Muppets, Sesame Street, Dark Crystal, & Labyrinth characters, to name a few, all of which make me happy!), but the museum includes interactive spaces where you can try your hand at puppetry.
Museum hours:
- Monday: Closed
- Tuesday-Friday: 9am-5pm
- Saturday: 10am-5pm
- Sunday: 12pm-5pm
- Last admission is 4:15pm.
