Have you ever been to a water circus? Well, now is your chance, as Cirque Italia brings its “Aquatic Spectacular” to Alpharetta this March.
This is a circus with no animals — and therefore no worries about animal cruelty or exploitation. It’s a European style circus of acrobats, jugglers, contortionists, trapeze artists, high wire acts, trampoline performers, and other talented entertainers who push the boundaries of human abilities.
So where does the water come in?
The show features a custom-designed water stage that holds 35,000 gallons of water. Performers go through their routines on a stage in the center of a sparkling blue pool and amid shooting fountains choreographed to the music. A suspended ring allows water to fall like rain around the high-energy acts.
Cirque Italia will be setting up its signature blue tent in the parking lots around North Point Mall — with performances from March 2 to 5, 2023.

I went to the circus with my middle daughter as a chaperone on her school field trip, several years ago. It was my first time going to a circus in close to 30 years, and I think I enjoyed it more than her, lol! The music was great, it was fun and interactive as they called on spectators in the audience to participate. I still remember the beautiful colorful outfits of the performers. I’d love to see another show and take my now 10 year old and 4 year old, who’s never been.

I have fond memories of going to the circus as a child growing up in NYC. And now with my own children, we have been attending circuses since my oldest child was barely 2 here in Atlanta! This will be another amazing experience to add to our circus memories ❤! And this would be an awesome birthday gift for my son who turns 9 on March 11th!!!
