[exp] [/exp]Y’all. The Clermont Lounge has been closed since the beginning of the year (renovations due to the hotel moving in above ’em), and it’ll be at least a few more weeks until it reopens. As a result, Blondie & the other dancers have been out of work for quite a while now, and they’re a bit strapped for cash while they wait to get back to work.
To help tide them over, head to Austell on Sunday, February 26, 2017, for the Clermont Lounge Girls Car & Bike Wash Fundraiser, organized by B3 Bar and Grill, along with the Big Casino Carlos Bickers and JB Walker.
From 1:00 p.m.-6:00 p.m., there’ll be live music by JB & Rob Grater, a car & bike wash, & the opportunity to meet the Clermont Lounge crew. FYI–Blondie will be there. And though her beer-crushing skills are legendary, no promises re: her car-washing skills reaching the same heights. Still, this is an awesome opportunity to support the folks that make this Atlanta institution epic.
B3 Bar and Grill is located at 2523 Veterans Memorial Highway SW, Austell.

Tim– have you been to the club to ask these women how they feel, if they feel empowered vs exploited, or are you making assumptions? Because something about commuting to an 8 hour a day job and sitting at an office all day sounds like exploitation to me, but hey. Also, do consider the fact that these women hold legal jobs of which they pay taxes on, usually around 30% of earnings for most.

If this were a traditional club, it’d be highly unlikely that I’d ever write up anything about them. But Clermont Lounge is anything *but traditional, and the women who choose to work there are part of what give Atlanta its unique character. They’re legends around these parts. ~Jenn

Are you kidding me? You are really promoting an organization that exploits women?
