[exp] [/exp]On May 17 & 18, 2013, stop by Everett’s Music Barn in Suwanee for two days of concerts & a family fun day. And the money you may spend goes to a good cause: The Poverty is Real concert & family day will raise funds to benefit Family Promise of Gwinnett, a local organization that helps local families overcome homelessness.
On Friday night, pack a picnic & head out for the Jazz at the Barn concert, featuring Bonaventure Quartet. The music starts at 7:00 p.m., and there’s a suggested donation of $10.
Saturday’s Family Fun Day concerts are free, plus from noon-6:00 p.m., there’ll be activities for the kids, too, including a magician, a temporary tattoo artist, & more. Here’s the lineup:

- 1:00 p.m.: The Athens Band
- 2:00 p.m.: The Phil Griffin Band
- 3:30 p.m.:Eric Herbert and Friends
- 5:00 p.m.: Kristen Englenz
After the Family Fun Day, stick around for an evening concert featuring the Bluegrass Sound Band, the Everett Family Band, and Banjolicious. The music starts at 7:00 p.m., and there’s a suggested donation of $15.
