[exp] [/exp]I’ve seen Santaland Diaries a few times now (I was with “slut” a couple of years ago, and I’ve since learned to avoid the front row), and I may see it again this December. It’s hilarious. David Sedaris wrote it, so that alone should give you an idea of what to expect during the show, which recounts the tale of an out-of-work writer’s stint as a Macy’s Department Store elf.
It is, however, not kid-friendly. Though it’s essentially the same production from year to year, the timelessness & familiarity are part of what I love about it–Santaland Diaries is as much a staple of the holiday season as The Nutcracker or A Christmas Carol.
