to make it out to Atlanta Parent’s Family Block Party, but I’ve heard it’s a lot of fun. There’s live kid-friendly entertainment from bands to storytellers, activities, & more.
It’s not free–tickets are $5 at the gate & kids ages 2 & under are free–but you can save a bit with this coupon on WSB’s Family-2-Family page: If you print the flyer & bring it with you, you’ll save $1 per ticket. Or you can use promo code “earlybirdfbp” to save online. And fair warning: While quite a few of the activities are free, some, especially some of the inflatables & such, will cost you a ticket or two to play. That said, your admission ticket comes with a few tickets to spend, so it doesn’t have to be a “no”–just encourage the kids to choose wisely if you’re trying avoid spending a small fortune.
The Family Block Party will take place on Mercer University’s Atlanta Campus on October 9 from 10:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m.
