Each year, Dairy Queen celebrates the Vernal Equinox — also known as the first day of spring — by giving away FREE ice cream.
This year, spring arrives on Thursday, March 20, 2025.
That’s the day Dairy Queen fans can enjoy a FREE small vanilla soft-serve cone with the signature curl on top.
The offer is good all day, while supplies last.
There is a limit of one freebie per customer, at participating DQ® and DQ Grill & Chill® locations throughout the U.S.
If you visit a DQ that’s located at a mall, you’ll have to make a purchase to get the free cone.
The offer is not valid on mobile or delivery orders.
Remember, not all locations participate in all promotions.
