If you work in downtown Decatur, consider this Lunch & Learn event at the Dekalb History Center. It is FREE and open to the public.
The Lunch & Learn takes place on Tuesday, February 25, 2020 from noon to 1:00 p.m.

Bring your lunch and learn about Atlanta’s food history and the major role African Americans played in defining what was sold, eaten, and cooked in this city.
Join Atlanta culinary historian Akila Sankar McConnell to learn how food entrepreneurism propelled the rise of Atlanta’s black middle class and contributed to the success of the Civil Rights Movement.
