Alice Walker’s Pulitzer Prize-winning story bolts joyously to life with soaring music and unforgettable characters. This concert will feature members of the 2018 cast, which won the Atlanta area “Suzi” Award for Best Musical.
The show is based upon the novel by Alice Walker and the Warner Bros/Amblin Entertainment Motion Picture.
The Color Purple was produced on Broadway at the Broadway Theatre by Oprah Winfrey, Scott Sanders, Roy Furman and Quincy Jones. The world premiere was produced by Atlanta’s Alliance Theatre.
