Skate the Station returns to Atlantic Station, just in time for the 2023 holiday season! This is your chance to skate beneath the stars with the midtown skyline in view, at the largest outdoor ice rink in the Southeast.
The open-air ice rink opens at Atlantic Station on Friday, November 17, 2023.
It closes for the season after MLK Day, January 15, 2024.
The rink is open for all the winter holidays, and has extended hours during school holidays — ticket pricing details are below.
This year, you must purchase tickets in advance online — no walk-ups!
You can buy single tickets or a season pass, if you plan to skate often.
December 23, 2023, is Ugly Sweater Night at Skate the Station.
Hours are 3 to 6 p.m.
To participate, just buy your ticket online in advance, then put on your most outrageous, festive sweater and glide into the season with style.

Monday – Friday: 4pm-10pm
Saturday: 11am-11pm
Sunday: 12pm-8pm
Special holiday and winter break hours:
- 11/20/2023 – 11/22/2023: 11am-11pm
- Thanksgiving Day: 4pm-11pm
- 11/24/2023: 11am-11pm
- 12/18/2023 – 12/23/2023: 11am-11pm
- Christmas Eve: 11am-8pm
- Christmas Day : 4pm-11pm
- 12/26/2023 – 12/30/2023: 11am-11pm
- New Years Eve: 11am-8pm
- New Years Day: 4pm-11pm
- 1/15/2024: 11am-11pm
This year, you will buy tickets in advance online.
Once again, tickets are for a timed entry. All ticket purchases include skate rentals. You can bring your own skates, but you won’t get a discount.

Know before you go
The rink is located within Atlantic Station at 1381 Market St. NW, Atlanta, GA 30363.
Atlantic Station features FREE 2-hour parking in the underground lot.
For closest parking:
♦ Park in the Green section and use Stairwell 11 for access
♦ Park in the Orange section and use Stairwell 12 for access
There are NO lockers this year, so plan accordingly.
The rink staff is not able to hold or watch your items.
Dress appropriately! You’ll want socks and long pants. Gloves and a hat are recommended, as it can be windy at the rink. In case you forget, gloves are available for purchase at the skating rink.
The rink-side snack shop sells hot chocolate, snacks, bottled water, Coca-Cola products, wine, beer, and alcoholic beverages.
