Dear flash flood watch: You’re not welcome here. You’re messing up all of our weekend plans. Signed, Atlanta.
Assuming the weather holds (though technically it’s happening rain or shine), this looks like a fun way to spend Saturday: Old Fourth Ward is hosting its first annual Fall in the 4th Festival. It’s not free—the event is $5 for adults & free for children 12 & under—but I’m posting about it anyway because the go to a cause I can get behind: developing a park between North Avenue & Ralph McGill. Even if the Beltline never moves beyond the “concept” phase, I’m all for preserving and/or creating greenspace in the city.
There’ll be live music (line-up) & street performers, an artists’ market, and children’s activities.
Fall in the 4th starts at noon & runs until 7:00 p.m. You’ll find it at 621 North Ave. NE, Atlanta, directly south of City Hall East.
Thanks to @connorchristian, who happens to be performing at 6:00 p.m., for the lead.
