It’s almost time for Flicks on 5th, a free summer movie series at Tech Square (on 5th Street between Spring St. and Techwood Dr.).
Bring a chair, or at least a blanket, and head out on Wednesday nights to watch a free flick starting at 9:00 p.m. Bonus: There’ll be pre-show entertainment starting at 7:00 p.m. & free popcorn while it lasts. Oh, and leave pets, coolers & umbrellas at home.
Here’s a look at the 2013 Flicks on 5th movie schedule:
- June 5: Identity Thief
- June 12: Snitch
- June 19: Silver Linings Playbook
- June 26: Warm Bodies
And on Flicks on 5th nights, you can snag dinner on the cheap, too, with these deals:
- Chuck’s Famous American Sandwiches: $1.99 cheeseburgers after 5:00 p.m. & unlimited patties for $0.99 each.
- The Barrelhouse: Half-off wings on Wednesday Wing Night (excluding Vegan) and half-off appetizers from 5:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. on movie nights; both deals are dine-in only.
- Subway: $3.99 buys a 6″ turkey sandwich, chips & a drink on movie nights.

If you are worried that you can’t Bring Your Gun…then maybe we should be worried about you. Who takes guns to Free movies on a college Campus. GA Tech Police and ATL Police have done a great job of Protecting us thus far.
No thank you. Myself and every other person permitted to legally carry a firearm in Georgia are not allowed by law to defend ourselves in this venue as Tech Square is a part of the Georgia Institute of Technology campus. I don’t go where I and my family members are victims.
