[exp] [/exp]I’d like to make it to Norcross this weekend to check this out, but I don’t think my schedule will allow it:
From August 14-16, Folk Fest 2015 will take place at the North Atlanta Trade Center.
It’s not free to attend, but it’s relatively inexpensive: Tickets are $15 for admission on Friday, August 14, and it includes a free folk art t-shirt, + weekend readmission. On Saturday or Sunday, admission is $7.
Want to go? You can get a bit of a break on admission:
- Kids age 16 & under are admitted free.
- You can save $3 on regular admission with this coupon from WSB’s Family 2 Family page.
But it should be worth the cost if you’re a fan of folk art (I’m still determining if I am…). The exhibitors include 100 galleries & dealers from across the U.S. that represent artists specializing in folk art, including Self-taught Art, Outsider Art, and Southern Folk Pottery.
The North Atlanta Trade Center is located at 1700 Jeurgens Ct, at 1-85 & Indian Trail Rd (exit 101), in Norcross.
FYI–Bring cash. Admission is payable by cash or check only. Some, but not all, vendors take credit cards. Parking is free.
