The background:
A new food distribution program, Meals with Meaning, hopes to make a meaningful difference for local Atlanta families. The program is a collaboration between several local organizations and corporate sponsors.
A press release stated that Meals with Meaning will distribute family-sized meal kits every week on Wednesday for the next year. The goal is to distribute 400,000 meals through 2022.
The kits contain fresh ingredients for two home-cooked meals for a family of four people. During Thanksgiving week, the kits will be distributed on Tuesday instead, and will include a turkey and ingredients for side dishes.
Here’s where it gets complicated: Every week, the food giveaways will happen at a different location and a different time. There doesn’t seem to be a complete schedule anywhere. Still, we hope to keep up with the weekly events and to provide the details here.
