[exp] [/exp]When I’ve been down at the Marietta Square for various festivals, I’ve wandered by the Marietta/Cobb Museum of Art (it’s in the old Federal Post Office building), but I’ve yet to go inside. I may need to take advantage of this deal to check it out for free:
On First Sunday Family Days, admission is free from 1:00 p.m.-4:00 p.m., and there’ll be activities, too. The next First Sunday Family Day will take place on Sunday, August 7, 2011. The free museum admission offer is not valid for groups.
In addition to its permanent collection, you can check out “Metro Montage XI,” the
annual juried exhibition of artists sponsored by MCMA, as well as “Art, Artists and Artifacts of the Civil War.”
The Marietta/Cobb Museum of Art is located at 30 Atlanta Street, Marietta. 770-528-1444
