There’s an old saying that goes like this: Everything is better with bacon. It’s printed on t-shirts and aprons, so it must be true. Now, McDonald’s is paying homage to that sentiment with its first ever Free Bacon Hour at participating locations.
Essentially, it’s bacon happy hour.
Here are the details: On Tuesday, January 29, Free Bacon Hour will last from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. in the Eastern time zone.
For those 60 glorious minutes, you can add two half-slices of thick-cut, Applewood-smoked bacon to any menu item.
The bacon will be supplied as a side item, so you can consume it any way you’d like. Add it to a Big Mac, baconize your cheeseburger, eat it with your fingers, or crumble it into a triple-thick milkshake.
“I love bacon. America loves bacon. I really can’t wait to see the crazy and daring combinations our customers put together,” said Chef Michael Haracz, McDonald’s manager of culinary innovation, in a press release.
According to McDonald’s, this offer is available at most restaurants in the contiguous United States. It is NOT available in Alaska, Hawaii, or the U.S. Territories.
