The 2024 Big Shanty Festival in downtown Kennesaw is scheduled for the weekend of April 20th and 21st.
According to a press release, the Big Shanty Festival will include:
- Over 200 vendor booths featuring arts and crafts
- 25 food booths
- an entertainment stage
- live acoustic music in the new food court
- a parade
The Kennesaw Big Shanty Festival kicks off with a parade on Saturday at 9:30 a.m. The parade features floats, high school bands, marchers, and more. The parade will start at Adams Park and continue down Main Street through downtown Kennesaw.
Festival hours:
• Saturday — 9:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
• Sunday — noon to 5:00 p.m.
Festival admission and live entertainment is FREE
As always, the festival will take place in downtown Kennesaw.

Getting to downtown Kennesaw is easy.
If you’re heading north on 1-75, you’ll take Exit #273 for Wade Green Road, turn left (heading west), then drive approximately two miles and you will run right into the festival.
There is not much parking in the city center however.
You may need to park at Swift-Cantrell Park.
In past years, a shuttle has run from Swift-Cantrell Park to the festival grounds during event hours on both days. We don’t yet have info about a shuttle in 2022.
