- Wednesday, October 20, at 7:30 p.m.: Book Chat at Outwrite Bookstore, 991 Piedmont Ave, Atlanta. It’ll be a discussion of Poe’s stories of madness: The Black Cat, The Tell-Tale Heart (love this one), and William Wilson.
- Thursday, October 21, at 7:15 p.m.: Lecture with Dr. Elliot Engel at Decatur Public Library. Dr. Engel will discuss the “Tortured Genius of Edgar Allan Poe.”
- Wednesday, October 27, at 6:00 p.m.: Book Chat at Shrine of the Black Madonna, 946 Ralph D. Abernathy Boulevard, Atlanta. It’ll be a discussion on including the supernatural: The Gold Bug, The Raven (love this one, too), and A Descent into the Maelstrom.
- Thursday, October 28, at 7:00 p.m.: Book Chat at Eagle Eye Book Shop, 2076 North Decatur Rd., Decatur. The discussion will focus on inventing the detective genre: The Murders in the Rue Morgue, William Wilson, and The Purloined Letter.
- Monday, November 8, at 7:00 p.m.: Lecture with Dr. Thomas McHaney at the Margaret Mitchell House. Dr. McHaney will discuss “The Poe We Don’t Know.”
