Superheroes unite! Families are invited to come to the Mall of Georgia this Saturday, August 3rd, for the grand opening of a new, interactive, 4,000 square foot play area. The event is FREE and open to the public.
The opening celebration takes place from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in Von Maur Court, inside the mall.
The first 300 children in attendance will receive FREE goody bags and superhero capes.
After the ribbon cutting, special activities will commence. They include:
- balloon drop
- themed photo booth
- music with a live DJ
- face painting
- balloon animals
- photo opps with costumed characters of Wonder Woman, Black Panther, and Captain America
Children are encouraged to come dressed as their favorite superhero.
About the new play area

The play area includes three different zones, designed specifically for three distinct age groups:
- toddlers
- ages 2-5
- ages 5-8
Children will be immersed in a multi-sensory experience with interactive technology, educational elements, and active play using their imaginations.
Features include:
- crawl path with LED lights
- cozy cocoon nook
- jungle walk with moving pods
- spring-loaded mushrooms for bouncing fun
- charging stations and comfortable seating for parents
