The Gwinnett Symphony will host a FREE outdoor concert this weekend. The event takes place on Saturday, June 1st from 7 to 9 p.m., at Thrasher Park in Norcross.
The program will be performed by the symphony’s jazz orchestra, with José Manuel García as conductor.
The Gwinnett Symphony Orchestra (GSO) was founded in 2005. It is made up of 90 musicians from all walks of life, from Gwinnett County and surrounding areas. Most of the orchestra members are volunteer musicians, with professionals in a few key positions.
The GSO performs a variety of concerts each year.
About the venue
Thrasher Park is a two-acre green space adjacent to the historic downtown Norcross business district. It is small, but packed with amenities — including an amphitheater with performance stage, a large playground, picnic pavilion, picnic tables, gazebo, and restrooms. It is an easy walk to the Norcross restaurants around the square.
