On Saturday, November 7, the International Black Man Film Festival will be at the Auburn Avenue Library. The free film festival (yes, I said free) starts at noon & runs until 9:00 p.m., and it includes seven films plus a special program, “In Praise of Black Women”(full lineup). The films cover an array of topics, such as profiling black comic hero Brotherman, looking at Atlanta’s attempts to deal with its “pant sagging” issues, and examining the “surfing” craze in South Africa (young men “surf” atop fast-moving trains), to name a few.
The Auburn Avenue is located at 101 Auburn Ave. NE, Atlanta.
Thanks to Rana, the AJC’s Bargain Hunter, for the lead.
