[exp] [/exp]You’ll need Foursquare to get this deal…
El Taco is now serving lunch from 11:30 a.m.-5:00 p.m. on Saturdays & Sundays. Getting a mid-day fix of their Mexico City Grilled Corn is a good-enough reason for me to stop by, but here’s another incentive:
When you check in at The Original El Taco on Foursquare for the weekend lunch, you can get a free house margarita. Count me in. FYI–You’ve got to wait until 12:30 p.m. on Sundays to get the freebie.
Oh, and if you want to try your hand at making the Mexico City Grilled Corn, The Original El Taco shared the recipe on its Facebook page. But I suspect it, like all other foods, tastes better when someone else makes it.
The Original El Taco is located at 1186 N. Highland Ave. NE, Atlanta. 404-873-4656.

FYI–Like Twitter & Facebook, Foursquare is part of my vernacular; until Rick posted a comment, I’d forgotten that many of you may not have any idea what it is. Foursquare is another type of social-media site. It’s location based, and most often, you download the Foursquare app to your phone & “check in” wherever you go. Even better: quite a few places make deals available when you check in. I’ve got an Atlanta on the Cheap page (foursquare.com/atlcheap), and I plan to use it to post tips at various spots around town (I can’t seem to make my page work with my phone, which is inhibiting this at the moment, but I digress…). If you don’t have a mobile device but do have a laptop with mobile wi-fi, you can always set up your account at Foursquare.com & go from there. I suspect I’ll be using this option to add in a few tips….
