Free: MARTA’s 40th anniversary festival and concert this Sunday

MARTA wants you to come out for a festival and concert that celebrates its 40 years of service in Atlanta.

The event takes place on Sunday, November 3, 2019 from 2:30 to 7:00 p.m., at MARTA’s Avondale Rail Yard in Decatur. 

It is FREE to attend, but you must RSVP through Eventbrite by October 31st.

Since MARTA started up in the 1970s, there will be a Seventies theme to the event.

Musical acts include:

• The Mar-Tans (rhythm and blues)
• Yacht Rock Schooner (’70s and ’80s pop)

The Festival will include:

• Food trucks
• Bounce houses for the kids
• Historic bus tour
• Photo opportunities
• Games

This is a rain-or-shine event.

Please bring chairs or blankets. No outside food or drink is allowed.

Getting there: Free shuttles will run from the Avondale MARTA Station to the festival site at the Rail Yard.
