Maybe you’ve heard of The FRIENDS Experience. Now you don’t have to travel to NYC, because “The One in Atlanta” will have a limited run at the Perimeter Pointe shopping plaza — just extended thru September 26th.
We attended a media preview of the exhibit, and can tell you it’s a lot of fun. Check out our video sneak peek, below!
This is an interactive experience that lets you wander through 12 nostalgia-packed rooms. Bring your camera and your friends, and get ready to recreate some of your favorite scenes from the TV sitcom.
For the price of admission, you can:
• sit on the iconic orange couch
• chat with your pals in Central Perk
• hang out in Monica’s kitchen
• relax in Joey’s black leather recliner
You can even strike a pose from the famous “PIVOT!” scene with a sofa that’s hilariously stuck in a stairwell.

There is also an interactive FRIENDS trivia touchscreen, a costume exhibit, and lots of memorabilia to peruse through glass cases. On your way out, stop at the FRIENDS merchandise store. (The store is open to anyone, and you don’t need a ticket to shop there.)
Be forewarned, though, The FRIENDS Experience is not cheap. If you’re a huge fan, it may be worth a splurge for you. Be sure to take lots of photos of yourself in the meticulously recreated sets, so you have the memories.
The details
You’ll buy an advance ticket online and it will have a specific time and date. This helps ensure you’ll have plenty of space to enjoy the sets and take photos there.
Plan to arrive 10 minutes before your ticketed entry time.
Above all, don’t be late — if you miss your time slot, entry is not guaranteed.
A photo ID is required for at least one person in your party, and must match the name on your ticket. This is to prevent reselling and scalping.
The FRIENDS Experience takes about 30 to 45 minutes to walk through.
You cannot return to the beginning once you’ve walked through, so take your time and enjoy it.
Tickets may be available at the door if a time slot has not reached capacity — but they cost $2 more.
You can either print your ticket or show it on a mobile device.
There is plenty of free parking.
If you’re using a GPS, you can navigate to the correct section of Perimeter Pointe by using this address:
1155 Mount Vernon Hwy
Atlanta, GA 30338
You can also get there by MARTA — use the Sandy Springs Station on the Red Line, and expect about a 5-minute walk.
Hours
The Experience is open from Thursday thru Sunday in July and August.
