On Friday, February 15, the Georgia Aquarium is hosting a Valentine’s Day edition of their popular Sips Under the Sea cocktail parties. This one is called Eat, Drink, and Be Mine, and the aquarium’s event page describes it like this:
Valentine’s Day is right around the corner and love is in the air — or water, we should say! If you’re looking for a splashing good time with your significant otter, look no further than Sips Under the Sea. Experience the magic of the Aquarium while enjoying romantic tunes, sweet cocktails and delicious small plates!
General admission to the cocktail party is $28.95 per person, although members pay just $9.95, so if you were considering an aquarium membership anyway, now’s a good time to take the plunge.
This may not seem like a Valentine’s date on the cheap, until you consider that regular adult admission to the aquarium is $32.95. So you’ll not only save $4 on a regular admission, you’ll enjoy this popular venue after hours — and without kids or strollers or school groups.
If you attend Sips Under the Sea, you’ll have access to all six of the aquarium’s galleries while enjoying a live DJ. You’ll have the option to purchase cocktails from five full-service bars, and tapas plates from Wolfgang Puck Catering.

Event details: This is a 21-and-over event and you may be asked to show an ID to purchase alcohol.

- VIP guests receive early entry at 6 p.m., as well as two complimentary drink tickets and two tickets for small plates/tapas that are served at the event.
