LifeLine Animal Project periodically holds its Healthy Pets Dekalb event to bring much-needed services to pet owners in Dekalb County — for FREE.
The next event is on Saturday, October 28, 2023 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The location is:
Wade Walker Park
5585 Rockbridge Road
Stone Mountain, GA 30088
Keep in mind that these are popular events, and the line for the free services can be long.
That said, the lines move fast, and volunteers are often there handing out water and snacks — that has even included FREE hot dogs and BBQ sandwiches. People who participated in the past have said the wait was worth it!
If you come with your whole family, you can take turns waiting in line while other family members enjoy the park facilities.
PLEASE, bring your dog on a leash, and your cat in a safe and secure carrier (we recommend inspecting your carrier and tightening all connections ahead of time.)
Please take all precautions to avoid losing your pet on site.
Services provided at Healthy Pets Dekalb include:
- FREE rabies vaccinations for dogs and cats
- FREE canine distemper/parvo (for dogs) or feline distemper vaccine (for cats)
- FREE microchips
- Vouchers for FREE spay or neuter surgeries at Lifeline clinics (located in Chamblee and College Park)
- FREE pet supplies such as food, leashes, and collars
You may also have a chance to discuss any health concerns with a licensed vet.
