Inman Park Restaurant Week is back! This intown culinary event will take place from March 25th to 31st. It is probably the most favored of all Atlanta’s restaurant weeks, and it only happens once a year — so don’t miss it.
The Inman Park neighborhood has become a real culinary destination, both for chefs and for diners. If you’ve never eaten there, or if you’re slowly working your way through the area’s restaurants and pubs and want to try someplace new, this is a great opportunity.
Your best bet is to make reservations well in advance, either through OpenTable or the Inman Park Restaurant Week website, because popular restaurants and meal times book very quickly.
UPDATED on 3/18/19
Hampton + Hudson has announced a new lunch special for Inman Park Restaurant Week. Lunch guests can enjoy one dish and a beverage (soda or tea) for $10. No reservations are needed for lunch.
The $20 dinner menu will go into effect at 4 p.m. If you’re planning to go early, you may not need a reservation for dinner.
Here’s how it works…
Throughout the week, participating Inman Park restaurants will serve a specially planned, three-course meal that highlights the chef’s favorite dishes or makes use of seasonal ingredients.
Each menu has a fixed-price — either $20, $30, or $40 per person. Some restaurants may offer two different menu options at different price points, to give you a choice.
Neighborhood restaurant weeks have become more and more popular — but are they actually a deal?
Well, it depends.
The idea of “restaurant week” originally started out with pricier establishments, typically in metropolitan areas, offering meals that were definitely less expensive than their regular offerings. Today, it’s a toss-up, with cheap eateries like Hudson Grille participating. A food blogger who did a little independent research found a lot depends on what you order. Vegetarians might spend more money on a meal during restaurant week than they would otherwise, while someone dining at a steakhouse could easily end up saving a few bucks.
If you’re looking for an opportunity to try something different, you may enjoy browsing the fixed-price menus and having a new culinary experience during Alpharetta Restaurant Week. That may be more important to you than finding a killer deal.
It’s a good idea to make a reservation.
